“We have found innovation to be a bottom-up process. It really needs to start by understanding the pains of the citizens, going to that empathy. So, the combination of the bottom-up to create a solution prototype and top-down scaling up through policymaking is really what the govpreneurs do best and we are on a journey to create thousands of govpreneurs in Bangladesh.” Anir Chowdhury is the policy advisor at UNDP Bangladesh/ Government of Bangladesh. He is also the Member of the Prime Minister’s National Digital Task Force, Education Minister’s National ICT in Education Task Force, Planning Minister’s National Information Management Committee, and Cabinet Secretary’s National Steering Committee on Civil Registry and Vital Statistics (CRVS) This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
