Excellent fishing ahead of the flush

After heavy rains I decided to go fishing ahead of the flush that I knew was coming. I headed to the far lower reaches of the Ovens River to stay ahead of the floodwater. I knew the river would still be OK to fish, but wasn't expecting the great fishing that I encountered. I had an absolute blast catching plenty of carp and also a couple of small Murray cod.
