Simultaneously, after releasing the quirk-erasing chemical, AFO lost his own quirk. Many years later, he started a new family and adopted the name "Michizane Sugawara." After passing away in his sleep, AFO's descendants later became known as the "Gojo Family." Contrary to popular belief, Izuku Midoriya did not truly perish when the immense energy left his body.
