For the 2018 model year, Toyota has given the Yaris tweaked looks and more standard and available features. (Have no fear, we checked, and it’s definitely still a car.) The subcompact’s lineup remains the same, with two- and four-door hatchback body styles available in L and LE trims and an SE model topping the four-door range. The new front and rear styling of the 2018 Yaris was first seen on the Europe-market Yaris GRMN that made its debut earlier this month, although that version also wore some performance-themed add-ons. While the car’s pinched nose and gaping-mouth grille carry over here, the 2018 L and LE feature a new front fascia that drops the upper grille and blends the new body-colored nose with the bumper and hood. Two chrome trim pieces extend outward from the logo, meeting the redesigned headlights. The SE version is differentiated by a black mesh grille with a chrome surround and 16-inch aluminum wheels with dark accents. At the rear, the Yaris has been redesigned with wider taillights and a new bumper. There is a new color, Blue Eclipse, which is available with a body-color or Black Sand Pearl roof.
