It went on to climb all chord notes and so became the walking bass. Everybody can instantly feel the "walking" character of this bass style. The piano soon adapted this accompanying figure for the left hand for blues (and jazz). In my tutorial I show you the basic principles of the walking bass pattern in blues piano in the key of C. But we will also look at easy variations and some early tricks. I will expand further in the second part inspecting extended blues forms and simulating upright bass playing techniques like "slaps".
