Le tue vaghe luci belle son le stelle onde Amor mi guida in porto. [Variant: mi addita il porto.] ___ Translation: Only from you, my sweet love, this heart will have peace, will have comfort. Your beautiful sweet eyes are the stars with which Love guides me to the harbor. [Variant: indicates me the harbor.] ___ I originally uploaded this video on 3 January 2008 on my former channel, MehdiCaps, which has been deleted. Here it is again. I only remade the title slides in a bigger size (the original video was only 320 x 240 pixels) and faded to black at the end; the rest is unchanged. Here is the original description : 'Personal recording from a live radio broadcast on Radio Tre (RAI), on December 9, 2005. Gorgeous rendition of this aria, in my opinion, with very beautiful high and low notes (modern high F and low G), by a countertenor with a very strong voice, who should become a star. The clips were filmed in October and December 2007, in candlelight (but you can also see the light of my computer screen, as well as the two candles, in my eyes in the extreme close-ups). I look horrid on most of those shots, but I decided to use them nonetheless, because my intention was not to look pretty, but sincere.' Marc D.
