48 Hour Film Challenge: What to Expect | Making a Movie in 48 Hours: Tips & Tricks | Script 2 Screen

The 48-hour film challenge this weekend was a wild ride. From Friday to Sunday, it was non-stop action. It all started with a rush of excitement. We got the genre, character, prop, the whole shebang; everything our film had to include in like 30 minutes and we rushed to meet with the team to create an idea to film and create. Filming was a blast. Seeing people who'd never acted before just jump in and nail their parts, it gave me chills. We did hit some bumps with the script, though. So many good ideas flying around, but it was hard to wrangle them all into something cohesive in such a short time. We ended up having to compromise a bit, but that's part of the process! The weather didn't exactly cooperate either. We filmed almost everything outside, and of course it did rain on our production. Not to mention all the foot traffic – people just wouldn't stop walking by! Sure, we pulled a couple of all-nighters, but in the end, we got the film done. Looking back, I'm so proud of what we accomplished. It was a team effort all the way. My biggest takeaways? Teamwork is key, especially in that kind of pressure cooker. Communication is crucial too – everyone needs to be on the same page, from the director to the actors. And lastly, be flexible! Things will go wrong, ideas will change, but that's all part of the fun.
