In this video, Steffi shows you how to make pretty wet felted wings for The Makerss' Water Fairy, as featured in our June 2021 Fairy Subscription Box. Of course, you can apply and adapt this technique to make wings for all kinds of needle felted characters and dolls, not just fairies! In fact, you can make more than just wings too, your imagination can run wild with the possibilities of wet felting wool fibres! Here the technique is a very "lite" version of wet felting, so you don't need much equipment, just items you are likely to already have in your home. As the wings are a small, delicate item, the wet felting process used is not very intense, so these can be made quite simply and easily with no rolling required (which would be needed in larger/thicker projects).
