Yellowstone - Steamboat Geyser Major Eruption - June 23, 2019

We were extremely fortunate to get a front-row seat for a major eruption of Steamboat Geyser at Yellowstone National Park, the tallest active geyser in the world @ 300-400' height, and one whose eruptions cannot be predicted; it's gone days to years at a time between eruptions, but we happened to walk up to it just as it was waking back up. (It starts going major about 4 minutes into this video, peaking about 7-9 minutes in.) It's so huge, and we were so close, I couldn't even get it all in frame and had to basically pan straight up- look at the trees in the background for scale. This video doesn't do it justice, it was absolutely amazing! The eruption went on for about 40 minutes before pulsating powerful steam eruption for a few hours after that.
