@parduc_sharpeners This video includes the following topics of P40 profiler & skate sharpener: 7 Parduc P40: Skate profiling 7.1 Check by hand, that the grinding wheel arm can swing freely 7.1.1 Instal profile template holders 7.2 Profile the grinding wheel to the FLAT-setting 7.3 Fasten the skate on the center of the skate holder, skate heel to the right. Tighten the skate securely 7.4 Fasten the desired skate profile template to the skate holder 7.5 If you prefer forward lean profile, adjust the desired angle from the ANGLE setting 7.6 Set the grinding wheel counterweight to the desired setting. On profiling, the correct setting is usually between 7 to 9 7.7 Do not use too big counterweight setting. It may cause unwanted movement of the skate runner during profiling 7.8 When profiling, use the touch panel's SHARPENING -page 7.9 Set the “no rotation” setting ON from the SHARPENING-page 7.10 Set the desired cycle amount. Use a bigger value than on standard sharpening. Set the value, for example to 50 7.11 Start the sharpening cycle by pressing the START -button. The machine starts the automatic cycle without spinning the grinding wheel 7.12 Adjust the profiling roller height so the skate runner will be profiled at least 70% of its length. The skate runner will be profiled on the area, where the profiling roller does not spin 7.13 After the desired profiling area is set, stop the machine by pressing the STOP button. 7.14 Press the MOVE TO HOME POSITION button, to return the skate holder to the home position 7.15 Uncheck the “NO ROTATION” selection, and press the START button 7.16 The runner is completely profiled, when the profiling roller spins for the entire length of the runner. 7.17 The travel direction can be changed manually, by pressing the TOGGLE button 7.18 Travel distance -setting and cycle amount can be changed without stopping the machine 7.19 The skate sharpener profiles the runner and stops after the desired grinding cycles are performed. The procedure can be stopped anytime by pressing the STOP -button. 7.20 Profile the other skate of the skate pair with the same settings. Finally, sharpen both skates normally www.parduc.com
