Pretty much the whole process here glazing firing, reducing! My glazes melt at about 1900°F. At that point I let them cool down just a little bit! If they have copper and I want the copper finish, I take them out and go immediately to the trashcan to reduce them. If they have crackle glazes, I leave them till the end. When I remove them I hit them with compress air to crackle the surface. I then put them into the metal can with paper and make sure that I get a fire so that when I close the trashcan, it smokes really well.
