It’s a big day in Jay Leno’s shop with some of his smallest classic cars. First up, is Honda’s first production sports car. Grandfather to the Honda S2000, this 1964 Honda S600 is a 600cc featherweight roadster that pushes a whopping 57HP. It’s entertaining enough seeing Jay and Dennis squeeze into this bad boy, but they really turn some heads when they take it out on the streets of California. It may not be fast, but this baby sure is a blast! If the S600 was too small for your blood, Jay’s next ride is even tinier. The 1966 NSU Spider weighs around 1,500lbs. and is the first rotary engine car ever built. Hiding the original Wankel engine underneath, this happy little roadster was built to really exhibit the performance potential of rotary power. Finally, though, is an Italian classic that could actually fit the whole family. The 1100cc 1959 Fiat Millecento was an incredibly engineered sedan that received kudos from Enzo Ferrari on its amazing handling capabilities. Still weighing under 2,000lbs with a wheelbase of 92.1”, the Millecento was compact, quick, and great on gas. Getting nearly 40mpg, we can afford to burn a little fuel as we head back out for a spin around the block. We always have a great time hanging out with Jay, but taking these little screamers out for a joy ride through southern California was so much fun.
