The recently released teaser trailer for Moana 2 shows the titular character, Moana, looking much different than she did in the first movie, however there is a good reason for her change in appearance. Moana 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to Disney's 2016 animated hit, Moana. The movie, set to be released on November 27, 2024, follows Moana as she follows the call of her ancestors and goes on yet another adyenture on the ocean surroundíng her beloved island. The movie will eventually be followed by a live-action remake of Moana, which Disney is currently developing. The Moana 2 trailer offers several hints about what's in store for the next installment of the Moana franchise. First and foremost, Moana bas returned to her home island following the events of 2016's Moama, and has taken up her responsibilities as Motonui's chief, as she continues seeking ways to malke life better for her island and its people. It is revealed that Moana, after hearing a call from her ancestors, returns to the sea to find others living around Oceania.
