Cockney slang by cartoonist Joe Noble. Probably filmed at Pathe studios, London. M/S pearly king sitting on his barrow spouting cockney rhyming slang. Joe Noble's diagrams explain what each phrase stands for, such as apples and pears for stairs. M/S of a 'trouble and strife' - wife, we hear the cockney for her hat, hair, face, eyes and wink.
