The Wilton Recycling Donegal International Rally 2023. What a weekend of fun and enjoyment. Baby Blue was back to her glorious best taking everything we could throw at her and filling the road every chance she got. Lauren was in her element and getting her through Fanad in the dry with wet tyres on was another one off the bucket list. What a stage! We had a plan on Friday and it was working well until we clipped a rock on ss5 and had to stop to change the wheel so a good result was gone. I’m not good at much but thankfully I’ve a short memory span so we just carried on with the plan to go flat out for every corner as long as we could. The fact that we made the finish ramp intact is thanks to BB, Lauren and a lot of luck. It’s been a while since we’ve had so much “care free fun”. We eventually fought back up to 8th national and 27th overall and to top it all Lauren won top female for the second year in a row.
