In this video, I explore the differences between the Insta360 Extended Selfie Stick and the standard one. As an avid cyclist, I've been searching for ways to capture aerial shots of my rides. Initially, I considered three options: hiring a helicopter crew, buying a drone, or purchasing the Insta360 extended selfie stick. Naturally, the helicopter crew was out of the question due to its impracticality and cost. Although a drone was a tempting choice, the complexity of handling it while cycling made it less appealing. Thus, I opted for the Insta360 extended selfie stick, which extends to an impressive 3 metres. The Insta360 extended selfie stick is a convenient solution that fits right into my jersey pocket, allowing me to shoot whenever I want without the hassle of managing a drone. While it doesn't completely replace a drone, it offers similar aerial shots that add a dynamic perspective to my videos. I compared the 3-metre long stick with the standard 1-metre version, and although extending it fully isn't always necessary, the additional length provides greater flexibility in capturing wide-angle views. After thoroughly testing the Insta360 3-metre selfie stick both on and off the bike, I wanted to share my thoughts.
