Ralph McTell Live

This relatively rare, obscure, and often beautiful album (released in 1978 on Fantasy Records) was recorded live and selected from two of the concerts performed by Ralph McTell during 1976; the first at London’s Royal Albert Hall and the second at the Sydney Opera House, Australia. This is from a vinyl album I have had in my library for many years. It's in pretty good condition. “Ralph McTell is an English singer-songwriter and acoustic guitar player who has been an influential figure on the UK folk music scene since the 1960s. One of the great storytellers, he is now celebrating more than 50 years on the road. Known for his virtuoso guitar style, he is primarily a prolific and gifted songwriter. With a style that invites you into a unique world, he weaves a narrative that is both significant and poignant.” For an album this old, the sound quality is quite good, with only a few minor pops and no skips (unfortunately, the worst are on his signature song, “The Streets of London”). This complete album is not otherwise available on You Tube as far as I know. The tracks are in order: First Song, Grande Affaire, Big Tree, Michael in the Garden, Dry Bone Rag, Zimmerman Blues, Maginot Waltz, Five Knuckle Shuffle, When I was a Cowboy, Let Me Down Easy, Naomi, Sylvia, Streets of London, Sweet Mystery, Winnie’s Rag, Waltzing Matilda.
