Awarded the Best Restaurant in the world in 2023 is located in Barranco, Lima, Perú. Central Restaurant is a journey of heights and ecosystems. I visited the restaurant on November 15, 2023. Had to make a reservation three months ahead by internet. The menu we selected was the “creativity of the day” with refreshments. I was invited for my birthday by my two daughters and sister. They gave me a small cake at the end. Each one of us received a book with pictures of the plants and flowers they prepared the meals with. We started at 1:00 pm and left a little after 4:00 pm. The Twelve courses were explained as well as the drinks before we tasted them. I did a short 2 minutes video but it was very detailed and at the end they showed us their dishes and cutlery as well as ingredients they used. It was a very unique experience where I ate new vegetables and learned a lot about those plants that I didn’t know existed. Very informative. I recommend you to visit Central and plan to spend a few hours to enjoy the experience. It was expensive. The 12 meal course and refreshments which is charged separately for 4 people with tip came up to $1,721. A very memorable experience.
