El Mojon is a rather unknown Spanish paradise. It has it all and even more, …….. If you dream of tranquility, stunning wide well-kept, safe beaches, good food and beautiful scenery. It is located approx. 55 km away south of Alicante, on the border between Costa Blanca and Costa Calida, 15 minutes drive from Murcia/San Javier airport. It is originally an old fishing village with very fine sand beaches, and is a peaceful area, close to the cities, an ideal place to relax without getting bored. There is a level of El Mojon. There are thought of green areas and playgrounds, in between the varied low buildings. There are thought of parking for the many tourists who visit the beaches in the summer. There are no towering hotel mastodons that shadows and causes the area to seem deserted in winter, and it is not filled with half-finished , ugly building projects that can be experienced in some Spanish holiday resorts. However, there are a few that spoils the city that otherwise even in the winter when there are not so many tourists seem warm and inviting. El Mojon is a place where you can fulfill the majority of wants, you may have for a vacation. You just have to choose which way you want to go to fulfill different needs. It is ideal for cycling and walking tours through the natural reserve of Las Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro, 300 meters from the house, there are wetlands that stretches over 10 kilometers. Here is a bird sanctuary and to protect the native vegetation by moving through the area on wooden bridges. If you go south, you get experience of nature and can feel free. You can walk along the salt ponds and see flocks of pink flamingos and other rare birds. Or you can take walks along the water, where there is a natural beach with a ” North Sea Dunes ” and areas with weathered trees that bear witness to powerful natural forces, also in this gentle area approx. 20 degrees warmer than in Denmark in summer and winter . If you choose to walk along the beach to the north, you can follow the boardwalk, with palm trees and flowers. Here there are beach cafes and stalls where you can get tapas and light meals or enjoy sangria or coffee and many people. A rocky outcrops protect the city and divides the town beach areas in two. Amazing sunrises and sunsets can be enjoyed in both directions. The water also draws on the evening before bed, where you can take a quick tour , a drink and a look at the moon’s bright lights over the sea. It overlooks a volcanic island in the distance and to the towers along the coast, the landmarks of different cities along the coast that witnesses of past protection against incursions and harsh pirate attacks . There is a small marina on both routes, whether you choose the one or the other in Torre de la Horadada or Puerto Marinade Las Salinas, where you can enjoy a drink overlooking the sea and the marina. Or walk around and look at the ferry -like luxury boats in the harbor. Moving toward the country will experience the Spanish culture in 2 cozy Spanish cities, San Pedro del Pinetar and Pilar de la Horadada, where you can browse around in small shops if you get tired of the beach, water and nature, or to beat down on the squares and plazas and sit and just watch people or stroll around the local inhabitants. Or make a visit to the local markets. Cities should preferably be experienced outside siesta time, where they can seem a little boring, because all shops are closed and shuttered.
