PDP Leader Iltija Mufti Condemns FIR Against Mehbooba Mufti | News9

Srinagar, J&K: PDP leader Iltija Mufti has spoken out against the FIR filed under Section 144 against Mehbooba Mufti. The FIR was lodged following a large sit-in protest staged by Mehbooba outside the Bijbehara Police Station on the polling day of May 25, during voting for the Anantnag-Rajouri seat. Iltija alleged that police detained PDP workers from Anantnag-Kulgam just hours before polling, and a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was conducted in traditional PDP strongholds. She criticized the administration for labeling PDP workers as Over Ground Workers (OGWs) and accused the central government and local administration of instilling fear among voters to lower turnout.
