Canada Day is an important large-scale celebration, as it unites people of various confessions, backgrounds and ethnicities who were born here or immigrated to Canada for a better life. It is a good reason to demonstrate your belonging to this beautiful diverse country. As we all know Canada is the most multicultural country in the world and it shows a rich tapestry of our society. Canada Day is a chance to celebrate throughout the day the birthday of the country we all live in. This is an opportunity to attend and enjoy a number of daytime activities, animations and shows presented by street artists as well as evening live concerts and performances and impressive fireworks. The spirit of togetherness, national unity and belonging is demonstrated by Canadians and visitors getting dressed in red and white - the national colours of Canada and waving with Maple leaf flags. This year I had a privilege to participate in Aurora’s Canada Day parade which is known to be the oldest one and meet MPP Dawn Gallagher Murthy who delivered an important message to all the parade attendees and residents of Aurora -Newmarket area.
