Today we're first looking at the tennis drop shot techniques both on the forehand and backhand side and how they compare to the usual forehand and backhand slice strokes. You'll see the drop shot analyzed from the side and backview and I'll share with you my main technical guidelines of this special stroke. And since the drop shot is really all about feel, meaning you have to judge very accurately with how much force and arc and backspin you need to play the ball so that it lands just behind the baseline, you also need to practice that feel. So I've included two very simple drills that you can use while practicing with your partner or even a ball machine. In the near future I will also share with you the tactical side of the drop shot, namely when should you play it and when you really shouldn't, and also how to defend against it.
