The 'Mary Poppins Returns' Cast Watched Bizarre Christmas Movies Growing Up | Rotten Tomatoes

Over 50 years after Disney's 'Mary Poppins' premiered in 1964, the magical nanny of Cherry Tree Lane is set to grace the big screen again, promising more musical numbers and whimsical adventure for the whole family. This time out, Emily Blunt takes on the iconic role made famous by Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins swoops in on a grown-up Michael Banks (Ben Whishaw) and his own three children to restore order to the family and help them rekindle the joy in their lives. Director Rob Marshall and stars Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Emily Mortimer, and Ben Whishaw all sat down with RT's Jacqueline Coley to talk about the film's big song-and-dance numbers, their surprisingly professional child co-stars, and the unusual Christmas movies they watched growing up. Plus, Blunt discusses her big year in bathtubs and Miranda explains why 'The Little Mermaid' is so important to him.
