Nintendo brought a seemingly dead industry back to life in a big way by releasing the Nintendo Entertainment System in the fall of 1985. Its subsequent success attracted a few competitors, one of which was arcade giant Sega, who decided to grab a piece of the resurgent market with their own console. This episode begins a game-by-game look at the Master System's efforts to compete in the Western game market, starting with its run in the US.
