The EEE start with a great position against the Norak fleet defending Pandora III, recently captured from the EEE, which doesn't play a role in the fight. A group of Norak destroyers is caught by a barrage of missiles and is destroyed before the Norak capital ships can close the gap and vaporize the EEE attackers. Sometimes the Space Empires V combat placement just works out that way.
