DIR EN GREY - 304号室、白死の桜 [eng sub] LIVE HD

"304 gōshitsu, hakushi no sakura" can be translated to "room number 304, cherry blossoms of white death". Taken from their Tour14 Psychonnect -Mode Of “Gauze”?-. This was requested by LilLadyA, thank you! Translation by me. Annotations: First, some trivia on the title: "white death" (白死) isn't a word that is usually used in Japanese. However, it appears that in Chinese the word (these kanji that means) do carry a more specific meaning, namely that of a "meaningless death". Probably this can be disregarded since we're dealing with Japanese here, but I thought it was interesting nevertheless. "Your eyes, endlessly pouring out, were telling me something" - It might be obvious, but the "eyes pouring out" is indeed simply an artistic way to describe crying. "Whenever my pain accumulates days after days" - I'm afraid this looks like a poor wording of trying to say that the pain gets more intense day by day, but it says exactly what it's supposed to say. The pain accumulates, or piles up, days. (痛みが日々を重ねる度; note を is the clarifying particle here) "I'll get swayed by the wind and remember you" - I am positive that Kyo sings something else instead of "remember" in this performance. Me and a friend tried to make out what it is, but it ended up being not much more than just guessing, so for the subtitles I decided to rather be safe than put words in Kyo's mouth and went with the original lyrics. (In case you're curious, we were guessing it could be 殺すだろう or 躱すだろう...) --------------- I do not own Dir En Grey or any of their music or performances. I translate for fun and wanted to share this translation. Thank you for watching!
