Sega CD Model 1 Finally Works!

After trying many times to replace the fuse in this broken Sega CD, I realized that maybe the aftermarket third-party power adapter the seller included with it might have been the wrong one. I eventually gave it a try and bought an official Sega power adapter for the system. After putting a new fuse in one more time, the thing works like new. Surprisingly, the CD drive works without fail, as the drives in these systems are known to fail over time. This Sega CD also included both metal plates that go under the Genesis. I've since added a 32X onto this setup, and the whole thing works great. 2016 UPDATE: The drive belt weakened enough to the point that the tray refused to stay closed and accept the disc. Replacing the drive belt and realigning the gears fixed the problem. 2018 UPDATE: Sega Genesis/CD/32X console is still going strong and has been upgraded to use RGB SCART through a component converter box into a compatible CRT. We now use it to play games for my college campus's video game club.
