The split was an amicable one because the rest of the band agreed. Many of the members now have fruitful solo careers. Mark has a new studio where he loves to put out albums and collaborate with others. That hasn’t stopped fans from clamoring for a reunion. They’d love to hear the classic Dire Straits style.
