I spent my 2022 Summer in Seattle working on Facebook Marketplace. In my role as a Product Technical Program Manager (pTPM) intern, I had the opportunity to own growth experiments to increase Young Adult usage of the platform. As 1/11 pTPMs, we are a small cohort scattered across the SF, Menlo Park, Seattle, and NYC offices. Because of this, I spend a lot of time surrounded by my friends interning as Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Designers. Fresh off the news that return offers would be delayed and be given on a rolling basis, many of us were worried about still having a job for when we graduate and enter full-time roles.
