The original shack area of Deadpines Homestead the settlers gave over to the Caravaners for use as a makeshift outpost/rest stop in the barren, northern wastes. One, to be nice, cause it's good to have friends that will watch your back, and two, it keeps them in the trade loop for selling off crops. And then there is the underground. Originally there was just going to be an underground shelter that was more like a big root cellar. That's changed and has expanded into a tunnel system leading to a second access point at the Survivor's cabin. Who, by securing use of it with a few caps to the settlers, uses it as a Rail Road safe-point. Shown here is the exterior of what's going on under the farm.
