No Seizures for More Than a Year

A brief update on Qualey and to say a big thank you to everyone who has sent their thoughts and comments to us about our lovely girl. The great news is that she’s still with us. She’s older and slower, but her health is excellent and she hasn’t had a fit for more than a year. Her last seizure was in December 2019 which makes it about fifteen months ago and that is amazing considering she went through a phase of having several seizures every week. Her improvement coincides with a change to her medication. She is now on 800mg of GABAPENTIN and 180mg of EPIPHEN each day. We progressed to this dosage with the help of our vet and it seems to work well for Qualey. Getting a good vet is an essential part of finding the right level of care and medication for your dog. For us it was a long journey, but one that was so worthwhile taking.
