Captured flag from an old war versus the English is paraded around once a year via horseback; The Priory flag was captured by the Hawick Callants, a group of youths who bravely defended the Scottish Borders town (2:07). People cheer and watch a recreation (2:27). Down a street in Hawick as people celebrate (2:51). Hosiery of high quality is made by a laborer (3:19). Lambs wool yarn (3:41). Men make knitwear (3:57). Hawick is a town in the Scottish Borders council area and historic county of Roxburghshire in the east Southern Uplands of Scotland. It is in the heart of Teviotdale. Hawick's architecture is distinctive in that it has many sandstone buildings with slate roofs. The town is at the confluence of the Slitrig Water with the River Teviot.
