Floor Is Lava: Ejection Game Spotlight-Nurse Felicia

2020 may be over, but the year that wouldn't play nice did bring us one bright spot . . . if you're a fan of competition shows that eject losing contestants using physical sight gags. Last spring, Netflix released a Wipeout worthy team obstacle course show based on a game many of us played in our own living rooms growing up. While our childhood fun used imagination, Netflix's Floor Is Lava created a literal take on the idea by creating several different courses based on typical household rooms and flooded the floors with bubbling orange liquid. The object of the game is to get as many member of a three person team from one side of the room to the exit on the other side by hopping across furniture while trying not to fall into the lava. If a contestant slips into the lava, he or she is pulled under, never to be seen again. Which ever team gets the most players to the exit door in the quickest time wins the episode, but the real entertainment is watching unsuccessful contestants get eliminated when they swallowed by the orange drink. Teammates carry on as if their doomed comrade had died like in one of those action-disaster movies. Now our favorite team during Floor Is Lava's first season was the SD Babes, a charismatic trio of fitness babes that conquered the course in the final episode and won their show. However, we are Ejection Games, and since the SD Babes didn't lose any team member to the lava, we probably should spotlight someone that didn't quite survive the orange stuff. Our favorite non-survivor? Nurse Felicia. This adorable nurse is a calm and methodical as she is beautiful. She tried to master the kitchen course alongside a squad of nurses in the fourth episode. In this spotlight video, you won't see how Felicia's first teammate succumbed to the lava or how her other teammate managed to escape the room, but you will get an edited-down taste of how Felicia blazed her trail across the sizzling kitchen obstacles. If you like Wipeout style obstacle course shows, Floor Is Lava is a fun watch. Best of all, no walks of shame, because if the lava gets ya, there's no walking away . . . at least on camera.
