The Tankwa is an arid basin only 2.5 hours form Cape Town. It takes a special type of person to thrive in this forsaken place. Sometimes it rains but most of the time it doesn’t. If you catch this magical place at the right time of the year you are engulfed by a profusion colour during the annual spring flower parade. Such is the beauty of the Magical Tankwa. But it is the people that make this place so special. We can be fortunate to have such a treasure chest in our back yard. We camped in this beautiful place and discovered some new gems.
