He is also an active community member and holds or has held board positions with the Catholic University of America; Catholic Relief Services; The Papal Foundation; The Becket Fund; Catholic Leadership Institute; The Boy Scouts of America (Orange County); Second Harvest Food Bank, and Christ Cathedral Catholic Corporation. After a professional career in corporate marketing and advertising, Mrs. Neal now dedicates her time to Catholic evangelization and philanthropy. Mrs. Neal currently serves on the boards of ENDOW, EWTN, Legatus, Live Action, and Thomas Aquinas College. Rob and Berni have partnered with the Knights of Columbus to establish a public foundation focused on K-12 education. Her board service on Catholic Leadership Institute, Magnificat Foundation, and Pueri Cantores will come to an end in the 2024 calendar year. Together with her husband Rob, she is a member of the Papal Foundation and the Legatus Orange County Chapter. They have been married for 40 years and reside in Newport Beach. They are the parents of two adult children and grandparents to two...so far. The Acton Institute is a think-tank whose mission is to promote a free and virtuous society characterized by individual liberty and sustained by religious principles. This direction recognizes the benefits of a limited government, but also the beneficent consequences of a free market. It embraces an objective framework of moral values, but also recognizes and appreciates the subjective nature of economic value. It views justice as a duty of all to give the one his due but, more importantly, as an individual obligation to serve the common good and not just his own needs and wants. In order to promote a more profound understanding of the coming together of faith and liberty, Acton involves members of religious, business, and academic spheres in its various seminars, publications, and academic activities. It is our hope that by demonstrating the compatibility of faith, liberty, and free economic activity, religious leaders and entrepreneurs can contribute by helping to shape a society that is secure, free, and virtuous.
