Marketed to customers who could not afford more conventional typewriters, it was made of cheap tinplate parts and used a rotating disc of rubber stamps to print letters. While it did not last long in the legitimate typing role, it was rebranded as a children's toy and in this form remained in production for nearly 60 years.
