Did we find Bahn Chiao??? Our Favourite Street food in Cambodia is Bahn Chiao. It is similar to but not the same as the Vietnamese dish Bahn Xeo. It is a yellow rice pancake made from a rice batter with vibrant yellow turmeric. It can be filled with many fillings like Pork, Prawns, Fish, Bean shoots and a truck load of fresh herbs!! It is eaten with a dipping sauce made from fish sauce, lime and palm sugar and it is addictively delicious!!! We did not get to eat Bahn Chiao in Phnom Penh but we did have a feast of it in Siem Reap!!! Phnom Penh has long been known as a food lover's paradise. With numerous street vendors and markets throughout the city, it's no wonder that Phnom Penh has been named one of the best places in the world for street food. From local Khmer delicacies to international cuisine like Korean BBQ and Mexican tacos, Italian, Greek, Chinese, Taiwanese, Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian, Japanese, Phnom Penh has it all. The best part about the street food in Phnom Penh is that it's not only delicious, but also incredibly affordable. For just a few dollars, you can feast on a variety of dishes and flavors. Finding the food is easy, with vendors and markets on practically every street corner. It's a foodie's dream come true. For those looking for international flavors, Phnom Penh has plenty of options. Korean BBQ stalls are scattered throughout the city, serving up grilled meats and vegetables with spicy sauces. Mexican tacos can also be found, stuffed with an array of meats and toppings.
