It is a very nice example of the lesser-fancy spotlight finish known as Antique Sunburst. You can find these in a light ASB and a Dark ASB. While this one certainly looks closer to Dark ASB in photos, its border is quite a bit lighter than usual so it is kind of a blend of the two finishes - very cool. It also has an unusually High Gibson logo for this era, but as I track these guitars I've found a few more in the 83 140-160ish range with similar.
