This is a great part of the Canadian Rockies to visit. There is plenty to do if you are interested in railroading and hiking. The first third of the video features CP Rail train horns heard at the Lake Louise, Alberta, campground in Banff National Park. Some are at night. I've used these horn samples on my model railroad. This is the best place to hear the horns on the entire Laggan Subdivision. The echo here makes the horn sound haunting. The middle third of the video is what typical front country hiking is like during golden larch tree season on Mt. Fairview. The final third of the video is what back country hiking is like next door in Lake O'Hara in Yoho National Park, BC. This is by reservation only and has a strict quota, thus it is very difficult to get to.
