Because corporations don't quite know when to stop, there was a brief trend for single graphics cards with multiple GPUs onboard. The last generation of these cards from Team Green were based on the Kepler architecture; those cards, including the GTX 690 featured here, are now left in the awkward position of having an architecure that is oncompatible with many new games, and relying on a now-defunct multi-GPU gimmick.
