Everything is in ONE TAKE: no prerecording or mastering or editing afterwards. I use a Korg Kross 2 for the sound and the arpeggiator to make a velocity ARP. Sound: Analog Bass 1 Arpeggio: 16 steps, 3 Notes high, Gate: 50% Vel: Key While playing I have the keyboard on in the arpeggio* * You could also use the combi mode to achieve this I play LIVE with and without the using the latch and the goal is to sound like a good piano player and let the Arpeggio help you. I try to play "around" the ARP, so that you get the impression that is not sounding like a typical arpeggio. Therefore it is important that I use a Damper/Sustain pedal so I can sort of change the tempo which gives a more natural feel. I use no computer or DAW in any of my live performances. Everything is live and in only one take. So every mistake is recorded. Also the "composition" doesn't exits, because I never play anything twice. I use "concepts" of sounds, drums, samplers etc. within the Korg Kross 2. I setup a combi mode (max 16 timbres), with the use of 2 Arpeggio's, Drumtrack and the Step sequencer. The feel and vibe of the "concepts" can be from Classic to Hardcore Trance. I need all the IFX slots as on/off with the help of the St. Compressor. In my total "concept" setup I use 3 pedals, the damper and the other 2 as on/off devices. Other on/off's are SW1, SW 2, Drumtrack. ARP and Step Sequencer and sometimes they are programmed into the sound using the Mod Wheel. So you won't hear much IFX effects. The MFX are mostly: chorus, reverb or delay I sometimes use other instruments like the VOICELIVE 3 Extreme and the Roland Vocoder VP-03. They are also only used live with the use of the Korg Kross 2 through MIDI. I use the DJEXIE concept: The Art Of Taking Risks To Find Something Beautiful !
