Whole Wide World - Mindy Gledhill [Lyric Video]

This semester I'm taking a directed study in After Effects. I'm still a beginner with the program, but I'm really enjoying it. I'm slowly learning all of its quirks and effects, and hopefully with more practice, I can become even better. For my second project, we were given the task of creating a lyric video for either a song or spoken word. I had initially tried to work with a spoken word, but this song just called my name a little bit louder. Whole Wide World is by a wonderful musician named Mindy Gledhill. Her music lifts my spirits and makes me smile. I tried to communicate the spirit and hope of a young girl. Through this project, I truly learned what a time consuming yet rewarding process animation really is. I loved having the chance to finally animate and bring to life characters that I created. I hope that my hours and days of long and hard work paid off and that this video brings joy to someone's heart. ENJOY!
