Let's enjoy a KJ Yesudas concert aka Dasettan gANam with TNK and the TV brothers (TVG and TVV). When the man whose voice is gifted from God sings, we drop everything and listen. His music comes to uplift and enrich us. His humility along with his respect for tradition, his thirst of learning and improvement and giving us pristine music is something we cherish deeply in our hearts. He has accomplished so much and he is still going strong without resting on his laurels! He is beyond Bharat Ratna and any manmade award. Like the greats, Dr. BMK and SPB, his gANam is timeless! Let's enjoy it all the time! His music will certainly live long when we're all gone! This is also a tribute to the late TN Krishnan whose sonorous nAdam just captures your mind, heart and soul. He was the bridge to the past, but always was in the present. He accompanied many greats of the past and shown brightly throughout the concerts. This is no exception. I have heard him with Yesudas many times and he brings another gear to his playing. Long live his music and may his children and disciples make his bAni shine ever brighter! The brothers Prof TVG and TVV provide bravura percussion as they always do. TVG's chapu rings splendidly and his bass/thoppi side always titillates. Not one to left behind, TVV delivers great ghatam support to his older brother and their thani is thunderous. Thanks to a rasikA who provided the recording and thanks to Raju Asokan sir for revealing the venue and year. As a result, I could find the correct date. Let's honor the memories of TNK and TVV and salute the great Yesudas/Dasettan and TVG!
