Dr. Dilini Vethanayagam and Dr. Richard Owen discuss Lung Arteriovenous Malformations (AVMs) and Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT). In addition to her work as a respirologist and asthma specialist, Dr. Vethanayagam is also currently a Professor of Medicine at the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry as well as the center director for the Edmonton Hereditary Haemorrhagic Telangiectasia Center. Her research interests within HHT include arteriovenous malformations in the lungs. Dr. Richard Owen completed his fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary and is currently an interventional radiologist and an associate professor of medicine at the University of Alberta. He is also the lead physician of the Northern Alberta Vascular Malformation Clinic and the associate director of the Edmonton HHT Centre.
