My Polish wife takes me on a date day around her hometown Częstochowa, Poland.

What do you do when babcia and neighbors agree to watch your kids for a few hours? You get in a car and drive to the nearest city for a date day with your wife of course! Back in Canada we are on our own and our date nights are mostly Prosecco nights at home after kids go to sleep. Naturally, when we go to Poland we use babcia, ciocie and wujki and try to go out whenever opportunity presents itself. This time we went to Częstochowa, ate the best street food zapiekanki from Piekarnik, had some mouth-watering pączki, got a bit tipsy in our favourite bars hidden in some sketchy alleys, devoured pierogi from PierożeQ afterwards and discovered our new favourite coffee shop. We walked around Aleje, almost made it to Jasna Góra and stopped at plac Biegańskiego to take in some festive illuminations, church bells at noon and 90's hits. As always, Polish food didn't disappoint, beer was cheap (compared to Canadian standards at least) and we had lots of fun!
