Brands Hatch - Crash and Action - Formula Ford Festival - October 2023

Well... this is a bit different. As I'm sure most of you are aware, MSV have put a new fence up on the outside of Paddock Hill and on the run up towards Druids that unfortunately blocks my old filming location, therefore I have had to move. I decided to give the main grandstand a go... Its much more difficult to film turn one, and obviously the view isn't as good, but on the bright side I can now see Druids and Clearways which is a huge bonus! I'll stick with it for a while and see how we get on. As for the racing... chaotically brilliant. Such close, wheel to wheel action from all categories this weekend, just a shame we saw so much damage. The Fiesta Juniors clearly thought it was demolition weekend with only 9 of the 23 starters finishing race one; the other championships and the Formula Fords also saw their fair share of accidents. With close racing it really doesn't take much for it to all go wrong and I think this weekend those unlucky moments happened a few too many times... Now for a long winter of repairs for many people.
