Inverness & Kyle of Lochalsh in August 1993

Video taken on two successive Wednesdays on the Inverness - Kyle of Lochalsh line - 18th & 25th August 1993. The primary aim was to lineside and travel on the 12:35 from Inverness and the 17:05 return from Kyle of Lochalsh, which was supposed to be the celebrity pair of 26s, 007 [D5300] & 001 [D5301]. On the 18th August I arrived at Kyle by road and observed 37232 arrive and carry out some shunting, then drove to Plockton to view the 26s pass there, followed by 37232 heading back to Inverness. In the evening, the 26s are seen at Dingwall crossing 37402 on their return to Inverness. In the evening at Inverness, lines of stored locos are seen [if anyone can tell me which ones they might be, it would be nice], along with 37428 moving on to the fuel point, followed by the 26s shunting the stock out of the platform and then on to the fuel point. 08782 shunts coaches. On 25th August, stored locos in the line adjacent to the station were 26035, 37215, 37111 & 37431. 37106 departs with a train to Aberdeen, which releases 37428. An unidentified Inter City liveried 37 stands by while 37428 goes to the fuel point. 37156 departs with a train to Kyle of Lochalsh. The 26s are then seen in the platform, followed by 37427 departing with an Aberdeen train, which releases 37402 to the fuel point. Next, the 26s are seen at Garve waiting for a sprinter to cross, then from the train window at various points on the way to Kyle. At Kyle of Lochalsh the locos shunt the train to the other platform and then run round the train. On the return, the locos are seen working hard occasionally from the windows and at Dingwall, they cross 37402 again. The locos are seen in the platform at Inverness then shunting the train out of the station, then on to the fuel point. Finally, on the morning of 26th August 37402 passes the level crossing at Bunchrew. There is some wind noise on the audio, some of which I have suppressed. [Hi8 source]
