The B-Wise Symposium, a virtual event hosted by the South African National Department of Health in collaboration with Reach Digital Health, Avert, and the Elton John AIDS Foundation on 13 June 2024, showcased the results of the B-Wise Smart Bot's impact on sexual, reproductive, and mental health for young people in South Africa. From July to November 2023, the baseline and end-line surveys revealed the impact it has had to date in transforming key attitudes, knowledge, and behaviours among young users aged 15-24. As part of the National Department of Health's interactive digital health initiative, the AI-driven B-Wise Smart Bot on WhatsApp and Facebook provides private, judgement-free support 24/7, addressing societal taboos and stigma.
