Brook Trout fishing can be magical. Chasing Michigan's only native char is such a joy. This video is part one of two on a trout fishing tournament: The Michigan Trout Addicts Opener Tournament. This tournament has some of the best river trout fisherman in the states competing for the right to be claimed champion of the state for that season. We (Dustin and I) decided to target brook trout for this tournament. A new rule for the tournament makes brook trout have a 1.5 times bonus as they do not grow as big as brown trout and rainbow trout.
