1960 - Kapers op de Kust / Live is nothing Without Philips

This animated short is one of my most favourites. Joop Geesink's Dollywood produced it in 1962 for Philips. It's all very cute and safe. In my opinion it's a mix between the artwork of Joop Geesink (art direction: Henk Kabos) and 2D artist Marten Toonder. They worked at their own studios at that time. Toonder is well known with characters like 'Tom Poes' (Tom Puss) and Bommel. You will recognize their world in this 7 minutes (!) cinema commercial. Joop Geesink had at that time a stop motion studio in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) with 150 employees. Producing animated commercials for all over the world. Specials note: in the middle you see a one minute short of Harold Mack. It has nothing to do with the message of the movie, but still very nice.
